Threaten CrisisĪfter the conflict, the Mini-Cons would create a city somewhere, safe from the machinations of Unicron or the Decepticons, with at least one invitation offered to a befriended human, finally finding freedom at last. CrackThey'd be used to power the Decepticon's planet-destroying Hydra Cannon, which was only prevented from destroying Earth by the sacrifice of Optimus Prime. First Encounter Prehistory The two factions hunted Mini-Con after Mini-Con, but the three Mini-Con weapons eventually ended up in the hands of the Decepticons thanks to Unicron's servant Sideways and the conflicted loyalties of Starscream. Ruinįour million years after the Exodus had left Cybertron, the human Rad White and his friends discovered High Wire's storage panel in Lincoln, Nebraska, setting off a beacon that would find its way to Cybertron, calling the Autobots and Decepticons to fight over the Mini-Cons once more. At some point after this, the team was split up and returned to their panels. Prehistory At some point, the Mini-Con team who formed the Star Saber was discovered by an ancient human civilization, who harnessed their power until it destroyed them. Unfortunately, the Decepticon attack and strain of passing through multiple warp gates caused the damaged ship to crash on the moon of a small blue world, scattering the Mini-Cons (who had sealed themselves in stasis) across the planet. However, when the Exodus launched, the Decepticons would take the opportunity to ambush the ship in an attempt to claim all the Mini-Cons, but the Autobots would provide enough cover fire for the ship to safely warp out of Cybertron's space. However, as the war dragged on, both sides realized the Mini-Cons had become the centerpiece of their conflict, and an agreement was made: a ship would be provided to allow all the Mini-Cons to leave Cybertron and find a new home somewhere else in the universe. This would lead to a faction of Mini-Cons (led by Sparkplug) forming an alliance with the Autobots, willingly sharing their power to even the odds. The Decepticons quickly discovered the power offered by Powerlinxing, and would enslave all the Mini-Cons they encountered. Drift LinkageĪfter the humans had returned to their time, the Mini-Cons emerged on Cybertron in the midst of the war between the Autobots and Decepticons as per Unicron's plan.

As the Mini-Cons had been designed to form mental bonds with other life forms, when Rad touched the newborn High Wire a connection was formed which Unicron didn't anticipate, and through the Mini-Cons' shared "soul dimension", the Linkage, sentience and free will spread throughout the Mini-Cons, forming "souls". Portentīut through a strange warp in time caused by the future Mini-Con High Wire, three human children from the future- Rad White, Carlos Lopez and Alexis Thi Dang-were sent to the Mini-Cons' birthing chamber inside Unicron just seconds before the small robots emerged from their pods. This not only made them weapons of unimaginable power and potent sources of energy, but made them the key to awakening Unicron from the hibernation he went into after creating the Mini-Cons. Linkage Part 5 Unicron invested a large portion of his power into three Mini-Con teams who combined into weapons, the Star Saber, the Skyboom Shield, and the Requiem Blaster.
To fulfill this role, he granted them the ability to increase their partner's power through Powerlinxing, and designed Mini-Cons to "imprint" on the first Transformers to awaken or Powerlinx with them, triggering a Servility Program that bound them to stay close to and obey their new partner, no matter how cruelly they might be treated.
Once he'd gathered the power he needed, the Mini-Cons would turn on their supposed masters, incapacitating them, and Unicron would fully awaken to devour the planet and all Transformers on it, eliminating his biggest obstacle to devouring all of existence. The power-enhancing "smart tools" would be unleashed upon the populace, who would snap them up and bond with them, and the war would only get more destructive, as Unicron drank in the negative psychic energies from the death and destruction. Linkage (comic) Unicron created the Mini-Cons to be mindless tools, sent to Cybertron as an agitating element to the Transformers' civil war.
Mini-Cons are digital entities comprised of energy known as a Spark Frame, capable of altering objects on a molecular level.
